Phone cards are versatile calling plans which has many advantages. It is a mode of saving money on telephone bills. It is easy to purchase; no paper works are involved. It is easy to use, one can call from his office telephone, or home or even from public telephone offices. The connectivity is faster, particularly after the introduction of PIN less dialing feature.

As soon as a phone card is bought the card is assigned a number called Personal Identification Number (PIN). In order to make a long distance call one has to dial the PIN followed by the country code, area code and the required telephone number.
